REALIZE Board Training for Individual Organizations

REALIZE Board Training for Individual Organizations

November 19, 2024

Is your organization seeking to strengthen its board of directors? With funding from the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, the United Way of El Paso County offers the REALIZE Board Training Program, designed to equip nonprofit board members with the skills they need to effectively support nonprofit organizations’ missions and community impact.

Through our Lunch and Learn Series beginning March 4 and led by BoardSource-certified trainers, the REALIZE Board Training Program provides eight targeted courses that build foundational skills and enhance board effectiveness. Participants are able to cover a range of essential topics, from Board Basics to Understanding Financial Statements and gain:

  • Practical skills and competencies to positively impact the community
  • Tools to manage board meetings, including agendas and minutes
  • Techniques for facilitating productive board discussions
  • Strategies to build a strong and collaborative relationship with CEOs
  • Knowledge of the legal and ethical roles of board members

Each course awards participants with a REALIZE Board Training Continuing Education Certificate of Completion. Training is also available to boards individually with at least eight members.
